The new fire pumps on
both sides of Sesuit Harbor are for use by anyone who sees
smoke/fire and feels the danger is beyond the capacity of
handheld extinguishers.
First, call 911 and
explain the situation. The pump operation is very simple: remove the
cover, place it to the side and follow the instructions
provided. Stand at least 50' away when spraying the fire.
Additional note: all moorings need to be out
by 11/1/08. Please make lat and long location for placement
in the spring.
Inbound tact to your slip :
" When coming around the corner of North Side's slips where the
vision is obscure, boaters should sound one prolong blast for
about 6 seconds to
make outbound boaters aware of their presence, it would help in
avoiding
a risk of collision ".
Please stay to the right of the channel and the " No Wake "
policy will be strictly enforced
Sesuit Harbor Notes
A combination lock security gate
will be installed on the east side mid July. The combination to the
lock will be mailed out and can also be obtained by contacting
the Harbormaster . West side gates to follow. Please DO NOT give out
the combination.
Pump out station is operational - Instructions are posted
and please sign the log

While our President Les Koch and
his wife Sue enjoy the sun in Florida and BOD member Alan Collette
recuperates from hand surgery, our fearless Vice President Keith
braved the - 20 below temperatures and the 38 degree water temp to
represent the Sesuit Boat Owners at the annual Polar Plunge. This
event raises money for local charities. SBOA will donate $100 to the
local food pantry . Keith is still defrosting.
